YouTube Gave Me My Channels Back After 5 Years

I must say, this is totally unexpected - although I’m absolutely stoked.
DTI IS BACK!
Now, my channel isn’t monetized, and I’m still pissed over the 5 years of lost revenue/growth, but getting my channels back is a massive boost for me.

It will take me a few days to update the channels and integrate everything into my workflow - but expect some livestreaming and uploading this week on YouTube!
Everything I posted will also be sent over to Rumble, definitely not forgetting about the alternative platforms.

I can barely believe, it, but it actually happened. YouTube gave me my Destroying the Illusion channel back. Not just my original Destroying the Illusion channel that had 230,000 subscribers, but my Destroying the Illusion 2.0 backup channel with 51,000 subscribers.
It’s alive! Almost 5 years to the day since Destroying the Illusion was banned. Oct 15 2020 was the day they took it down (along with hundreds of other channels, the day the Hunter Biden laptop story dropped, of course) - and Oct 9 2025 was the day YouTube reinstated it. I’ve spent more time being banned from YouTube, 5 years, than I spent having an active channel on there, about 4 years. Wild. Since 2020 I’ve appealed to have my channel reinstated a few times but was denied every single time - so, when I saw President Trump’s settlement with YouTube a few weeks ago and YouTube’s announcement that they would be reinstating previously banned channels, I instantly sent another appeal into YouTube, although I had no expectations to actually get my channel back due to prior let downs. Sitting down at a coffee shop the other day, opening my email, and seeing an “account notification” message from YouTube stating my account was reinstated, I sat in shock for a brief second. Now, I’m still pissed. 5 years of lost revenue, lost growth, and the mental/emotional strain of having all my accounts shitcanned in 2020 is not forgiven with a simple account reinstatement. Reinstatement is one piece, but some kind of restitution I believe is justified. We’ll see if that ever happens. Not expecting that, either - but getting my channel back was an unexpected surprise, maybe other unexpected surprises will be had with the channel someday. My first emotion upon getting Destroying the Illusion back was nostalgia. I scrolled through the list of “recent” videos reliving the experiences from years ago just before I was banned, during the height of COVID and right before the 2020 election. I then checked out the very first videos I uploaded to the channel 9 years ago and saw little ol’ awkward me in the childhood house I grew up in. I rented that place out from my parents for a brief period when I was hustling to make ends meet and starting my channel in 2017. My, how time flies. My second emotion was embarrassment. “Look at these goofy thumbnails” - “Oh my gosh, what kind of crazy crap was I believing and saying” - “Jeeze, I could barely grow hair on my face back then”. I was almost tempted to delete all the videos on the channel and start fresh, but I suppose change is a part of the journey. Then my emotions turned into excitement. I now have these assets and my disposal - What do I do? What do I post? What videos should I make? This is what I’ve spent the last few days thinking deeply about. Because here’s the thing - getting censored in 2020 was rough. Not just financially and mentally, but especially creatively. When my channel was banned and I migrated to Rumble, I decided to drop the “DTI” branding and run my Rumble channel under my personal name. Over the years, I’m not sure I ever found a consistent flow with the work I was doing. There were times I felt good with my workflow, but it was difficult to maintain the inspiration and motivation. I tried numerous different projects, from the Conspiracy Analytica podcast to the Clickbait ExposĂ© channels, as well as switching up video styles. Some thing were a hit, others drained me. Another hindsight regret is that I probably didn’t diversify enough in 2020 before the mass Big Tech censorship, i.e. getting alternative platforms set up ready to migrate to. Some podcasters handled the censorship and migration quite well. X22 and Redpill78 did great. Other podcasters quit completely after the 2020 purge for whatever reason. The censorship affected us all differently. For myself, I handled it okay, but could have done better. Though since I did “drop the DTI branding” and with the channel reinstated, I can now say Destroying the Illusion brand is being resurrected - and I feel my motivation, inspiration, and creative juices flowing again. After pondering for the last few days, this is how my workflow will go down: (hyperlinks to channels embedded) - My Monday/Wednesday/Friday livestreams at 5pmPST/8pmEST will be streamed here (as well as Rumble & Pilled). - Shorter news brief videos on breaking news - Whiteboard deep dives Destroying the Illusion 2.0 - I will rename to “Sather Vlogs”, a lowkey channel for stuff that isn’t so news heavy (rants, philosophy, other things) - Truck talks - Livestreams from events like the Badlands GARTs - Vlogs and stuff All of the videos on DTI and the Vlog channel will get posted to Rumble and BitChute. Definitely not stopping sharing to the alternative platforms, and I’ll probably still have to ‘tread lightly’ on YouTube so some of the more edgy videos will likely only be on Rumble and BitChute. Pilled - morning chat livestreams, live coverage of press conferences and other news events in the A.M.s Badlands Media - MAHA News every Friday afternoon, popping into the other Badlands shows when I can. And here’s the list of the social media accounts I use for shitposting: X, Telegram, Truth Social, Gab, and Instagram. (not bothering with TikTok anymore with all of their censorship and no, I’m not on Facebook, beware of the fake Jordans on there) Conscious Strength accounts: I converted my “JordSather” layaway channel with 3.5K subscribers into the official YouTube channel for Conscious Strength. It will take me a few days to update the channel, update the links everywhere, and get YouTube into my recording and streaming flow - and after that it’s game on.
